Woah. You’ve never experienced Yukari’s full bitch mode if you haven’t played Persona 3: The Answer.

The issue I have is that I actually really like Yukari, personally, but uh, yeah. Almost literally every single line she has is hyper-aggressive, confrontational, almost petty sort of tone, and it actually took me aback considering all the growth she’d went through over the course of the Journey.

And then she just comes right out of the gate basically swinging left and right?

I know that basically it’s building up her character reasoning for doing certain things later, and that the loss of Minto hit her pretty deep and all that…. but even so I admit I sort of thought ‘Yukari, what did they do to you? Literally every line is getting-punched-in-the-face level.’

Honestly? It felt like she’d reverted to worse than the beginning of the original game in a heartbeat, and that’s sort of a bad feeling to have about an expansion pack/continuation of the story, since, like Junpei for instance didn’t just snap back to ‘I’m a jealous annoying ‘common man’ guy hur dur’ like he was at first, he kept a lot of his awesome growth.

Not to shit on the Answer; I really like it, just saying some of my thoughts on it.

((y’all realize that yukari was actin’ because she’d just lost someone close to her that helped facilitate the mass growth and changes in her life (doubled if you maxed her social link) and is hyper aggressive because after all of the shit she went through in the journey her best friend/lover/idk is now dead ???

she is grieving. she is angry. she is always meant to be a prickly lil sassmaster. yukari takeba is a girl that does not know how to grieve in a healthy manner!! ffs in her social link you figure out she talked to a damn keychain thingie that her dad gave her!! she’s a TEENAGE GIRL IN OVER HER HEAD jesus christ cut her a little slack

also! yukari’s shitty coping method is a neat mirror to her mother’s shitty coping mechanisms.
